Ingenious creative score writing for silent movies to bring them to life
In 2009, Fairfax House hosted a special "Silver Screen" week to commemorate it's previous reincarnation - the much loved "St. George's Cinema" .- which provided a weekly mainstay of cinematic entertainment for the York public for over 40 years (1921 - 1965). I was approached to play "The General" (the film was released in 1926) for the inaugural "black tie" Gala night and also for the final evening of the festival. Both evenings sold out very quickly and it was a huge success.
